Catching up

Not a lot is going on here except tons of homework to catch up with all the sick leave we've been taking. It's murder getting through it all, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Jake is coming down for the weekend and he'll be staying here. That should be fun. Also, since we have the car now we can roam around and do stuff instead of being stuck at home.

Well, I should be reading some homework right now, so I'll write more later.

Sick

We've all been sick around here. I was out of school for a week, I had to go to the ER at one point. Largely that's because I donated blood so I was anemic and had a hard time fighting it off. Alyssa got it first, then me, now Odin has it. We took him to the doctor today and she said he had a really intense ear infection. We got him some antibiotics and he seems to be in a much better mood now that he's napped all day.

News and news and news

We took Odin to see Dr. Dzubay today. Last night he was crying and saying "ow" whenever he moved and this morning he just kept sobbing in pain and we asked him what was wrong and he said it was his ear. Dr. Dzubay said he has no ear infections so it was probably pressure from his cold while being on his side. Other than that, he seems extremely great, she said.

I just got done eating a pizza I made from scratch. I made it for a mid-term in my Ancient Foods course, where you make a pizza like ancient Romans would have, but adding flour and water together every day and watching it grow and letting the bacteria grow or something like that. (I didn't understand the science.) It turns into a sourdough and I made pizza crust with my own toppings.

I've been driving around a lot and I'm going to take my test on Wednesday to get my license. Paula is giving us her minivan and we've already got it insured under Alyssa and Me for full coverage! We got the whole shebang and guess how much it costs us each month? Only about sixty bucks! We got some huge discounts because Paula has been a member so long and Alyssa and I have high GPAs and wouldn't use it too often because we bus to school.

Anyway, more later.
