Alyssa has been interested in Mills college lately, for her graduate work. As a result of it's proximity and extremely interesting and appealing program, I've been investigating UC Berkely as well. We're both pretty excited, we'll see how that goes.
We thankfully got a kid-free night last night for about an hour or so; I had arranged our kids to be divided amongst the local grandparents for the purposes of having a respite to enjoy Alyssa's birthday with each other. It's only the 3rd time we've been kid-free since Freya was born, and the first of those 3 that we were home and not at some event that required our attention. We enjoyed it as thoroughly as we could, and both grandparents reported good behavior (which means I'm gong to repeat this as much as possible).
As I have been accustomed to say at the end of posts, I must now return to my homework from the brief vacation I had allowed myself as a reward for the hard work I'd been doing.
C'est la vie.
Which reminds me of the new slogan I've coined for us.... "Hodie patimur cras celebrabimus."
